MIL basketball: Badillo leads Baldwin boys past Lahainaluna

Jeremiah Badillo scored 10 of his 15 points in the second half and Teva Eldredge finished with 10 points as Baldwin High School beat Lahainaluna 44-38 in a Maui Interscholastic League boys basketball game Saturday at the Lahaina Civic Center.

The Bears (7-3) are in second place, three games behind King Kekaulike, which has already clinched the regular-season championship.

Josh Chapital scored 12 points and Emil Cariaga added 11 for the Lunas (4-6).

* LANAI BOYS 61, ST. ANTHONY 45: At Wailuku, Jestonie Molina made five 3-pointers and finished with 19 points for Lanai (3-7).

The Pine Lads’ Jayvee Llamelo scored 12 points.

Michael Fernandez scored 20 points for St. Anthony (1-8) – he had all but one of the team’s 16 first-half points. Preston Masanda finished with 11 points.

* KAMEHAMEHA MAUI BOYS 68, MAUI HIGH 57: At Kahului, Luke Batoon scored 18 points, Kolby Ah Sau added 11 and R.J. Moku had 10 for Kamehameha Maui (4-6).

Kepa Fuentes scored 17 points for Maui High (0-10), Mark Castillo added 14 and B.J. Villon had 11.
